Further searches located your wife's blog. We both spent hours (independently) reading the blog. Still a lot we haven't read yet, but I feel like we have gotten to know you quite a bit. Really a huge change for you two! I was interested enough to search land records, and even see your cabin on Trail Lake. I even found that there is 5 acres across the lake for sale. Not much chance of us actually becoming neighbors, but one can dream. I'd love to at least visit Alaska some day.

Here in NJ we do have 18 chickens, a large garden, solar panels (26), and a small wind turbine, but we are definitely not off the grid! We also live on a lake (Bamber Lake), and have an A-frame house, that my father built in the early 60's. We have purchased additional lots, and now have over two acres, but we have neighbors much closer than you! Last winter we had barely enough snow to use a snow blower, but some years we can get two or three feet in a storm.

We both look forward to reading more of you wife's blog. Please thank her for writing it!

Best Regards, Bill and DianeAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3810056512800341999.post-80135777736653480372017-06-20T22:57:25.200-08:002017-06-20T22:57:25.200-08:00Mouth wateringMouth wateringUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16806342075253353983noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3810056512800341999.post-41053471922852178642017-06-20T05:14:34.585-08:002017-06-20T05:14:34.585-08:00Aw, this was a really good post. Later on our drive we saw some black bears up on the side of the road. They looked big hairy, and a little bit threatening. We didn't stop.

Jenny Chttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00744295872468741221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3810056512800341999.post-7925850789887795702017-06-11T22:30:30.279-08:002017-06-11T22:30:30.279-08:00But first catch your bear! We have a restaurant here that serves lion, but I've never heard of anyone who actually enjoyed it and wants it again. But they want that picture, oh yes they do.possumqueensahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04456571934916321686noreply@blogger.com
